Yashasvi Jaiswal Biography
Yashaswi Jaiswal comes from a small village in Uttar Pradesh. He comes from a financially poor family. His father couldn’t afford him his basic needs. His father did small jobs and his mother was a housewife.
Yashaswi moved to Mumbai, where his uncle used to live, at the age of 11. He started working at a dairy where he used to work and sleep.
He got accommodation as he did low-grade jobs. He practiced cricket all alone. As he was playing more cricket and not doing work, his owner ejected him from the work.
He packed his luggage and went straight to Azad Maidan. There, he met Imran, owner of the Muslim United Cricket Club in Azad Maidan, Mumbai. Imran had agreed for Yashasvi Jaiswal’s stay in a Tent (in the ground) if he scores well in one match. Without any doubt, he scored well and got permission to stay in the tent.
There was no power supply and toilets in the tent. During summer he used to sleep outside the tent and on a rainy day he had to move the tent to a better place
He used to stay in a Tent and trained cricket. In the evenings he sold “fruits” and “pani-puri” for a living.

Jwala Singh, his coach observed him from behind the nets. He saw yashaswi batting on a tricky wicket where other players were struggling. Yashaswi was hitting the ball cleanly which impressed him.
His coach started training him seriously and gave everything. Soon Yashaswi started playing in tournaments.
His performance was good in Asia Cup. He went to National Cricket Academy in Banglore, when he got selected under-19, his roommate was Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Yashasvi Jaiswal Career
He became famous when he scored 318 not out and took 13/99, in Harris Shield Tournament. This was the highest ever in a school tournament, which was recognized by the Limca Book of Records.
He scored 52 centuries and took more than 200 wickets. Later he got selected in U-16 and then in the Indian U-19 team.
In the year 2019, in a Youth Test match against South Africa under-19s, he scored 173 off 220 balls. Later, the South African team was bowled out for 152 and 85. India won the match with an innings. In the same year, he scored 294 runs in 7 matches, which includes 4 half-centuries.
In December 2019, he was selected for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In the tournament, he became the leading scorer including a century against Pakistan in the semifinal.
In the year 2018–19, Jaiswal made his Ranji Trophy debut for Mumbai. He made his List A debut from Vijay Hazare Trophy on 28 September 2019, for Mumbai.
He scored 203 runs off 154 balls in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match which was against Jharkhand On 16 October 2019 and became the youngest player to score a double century. He achieved the is record when he was 17 years, 292 days.
He hit 17 fours and 12 sixes against a Jharkand, which had the mighty bowlers like Varun Aaron and Shahbaz Nadeem. He was ranked one of the top five run-scorers at the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, at an average of 112.80, with 564 runs in 6 matches. Later he was selected for the India B squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy.
IPL Career
Rajasthan Royals has bought Yashaswi Jaiswal for the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his Twenty20 debut for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 IPL on 22 September 2020.
Yashaswi Jaiswal got a chance to play in the 18th match in IPL 2021 on 24th April 2021. The match was between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match, Yashaswi took a brilliant catch which won the catch of the match award with Rs.1 lakh. In the match, he opened with Jos Butler and scored 22 of 17 balls.
