Biography and Education

RJ Malishka is the famous RJ (Radio Jockey) in India. She works for Red FM 93.5. She is born and brought up in Mumbai. She is graduated from St. Xavier’s College, the University of Mumbai in Political Science. She did her masters in marketing and advertising, which she was not interested in.

Career

She was first appeared on a national television channel in the program named ‘Connected Hum Tum’. It was a reality show which was telecasted on Zee TV on June 3, 2013, at 10 pm.This was a story of six ordinary women who made their own videos and shared them with the public on the television channel.

The other time she appeared on television is in Jhalak Dikh la Ja on Sony TV. This program was hosted by Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul. The judges include Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D’Souza. She did not influence the judges with her performance. She could not continue for a longer time in this program because of her boldness and aggressive attitude.

Radio Shows

Malishka Mendonsa is also known as RJ Malishka. Many people saw a ray of hope in Radio Industry just because of Malishka. She did a show on Radio called “Morning No. 1” which is a popular show among the audience of all ages.

The main shows which brought name and fame for her is ‘M Bole toh’, and “Best Breakfast Programme”. She had also done audio cameos in Bigg Boss show ( Biggest Reality show in India)

Her show “Morning No. 1 with Malishka” was awarded as the Best Breakfast Programme in Hindi @ at the “Indian Excellence in Radio Awards” in the year 2010. Many bollywood celebrities are her fans. The Big B calls her as ‘howleracious’.

She was a very talented RJ. She trained Vidya Balan the Bollywood Actress, on the role RJ for the film Munna Bhai MBBS. This movie got released in 2006.

The dance show Jhalak Dikh La Jaa motivated her to loose weight. She trained very hard to get fit. She felt thankful to Neetu Chandra for her motivation and fitness tips.

Malishka get lot of offers from television channels, but her focus is on Radio. She is also open to host programs on Television.

Controversies

RJ Malishka is also known as Mumbai Ki Rani. She is famous for her talks. He makes parody songs. One of her parody songs is Bollywood famous song Zingaat. Another famous song is satirical on Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Watch it here ?

However, BMC did not take it funny. They sent a team to her house to check Malaria and Dengue mosquitoes. Later on she released another video explaining why she had done the video.

“We are very excited for Malishka ko matt sunn, the idea behind this stemmed from the concept of stubbornness of the human brain. We always end up doing opposite of what we are asked to do, well; mostly. The strategy with Malishka ko matt sunn is to target the wrongdoers, the ones who spit in public places, litter around, break traffic rules engage in catcalls etc. The aim is to tell the citizens that if they are doing any such actions they should stop listening to RJ Malishka on Red FM. As a radio station, we strongly believe that RJ Malishka through Red FM has acted as a catalyst in bringing about a change in the life’s of Mumbaikars.”
