Biography
Rishi Kapoor made his debut as a Bollywood child artist in 1970 with the film Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker. Since then, Rishi has played a large role in his nearly fifty-year career. From the role of a boy next door in the 80s and 90s to the change in his image as a father in the 2000s.
He married co-actress Nita Singh on January 22, 1980. It was a big wedding at the prestigious Bombay Presidential Golf Club in Chembur and a reception at RK Studio, where the entire film industry was.
The couple has two children: Ranbir Kapoor, born September 28, 1982, and designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, born September 15, 1980. Rishi – uncle for actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor is suffering from cancer from 2018 and went to New York for treatment. After a year of successful treatment, Rishi Kapoor returned to India on September 26, 2019.
On April 29, 2020, he was admitted to the Mumbai HHP complained of breathing problems. He died on April 30, 2020, at 5:20 pm.
