Priyam started playing cricket when he was 6 years. At the age of eight he joined the Victoria Park cricket training ground in Meerut. Priyam comes from a financially weak family. They could’t even afford television to watch cricket.
His father did all the odd jobs like driving vans, loading goods, selling milk, and delivering newspapers so that he can support Priyam’s cricket training.
He travelled 40 kms by bus to reach the Victoria Park training ground. His brother accompanied him.
Priyam wanted to become fast bowler as India’s two fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Praveen Kumar were also trained from the same cricket ground.
Though he wanted to become bowler, his coaches Ashwani Sharma and Sanjay Rastogi advised him to concentrate on batting
When he got selected to Uttar Pradesh team, Suresh Raina trained him
His favorite cricket player is Sachin Tendulkar
He was picked as the captain of India’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup(2019) in South Africa. He was also India’s U-19 captain for the tour of South Africa
