Thomas was born on 2 November 1995 in Cherupuzha (Kannur). Her parents and Thomas and Lily. She has a brother.
Nivetha made her acting debut on Television as a child actress, for the famous Sun TV serial ‘My Dear Bootham’. She appeared in Veruthe Oru Bharya, which got appreacitions from the critics.
She was part of Chaappa Kurish and Thattathin Marayathu, in Malayalam.
In 2011, she featured in a Tamil film Poraali which is directed by Samuthirakani. She acted in the movie ‘Romans‘ which was a “blockbuster”
Later she acted in many Tamil and Malayalam movies
In 2016, she made her Telugu Debut with Gentleman starring Nani. This movie brought her name and fame to Telugu audiences. She has received SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut (Telugu).
In 2017, she starred alongside Nani for the second time for the film Ninnu Kori. This was one of the biggest hits of the year. She was rewarded with the Filmfare Award for the best actress for the film.
She featured in the movie Jai Lava Kusa opposite Jr.NTR. This was the top-grossing movie of the year 2017. In 2019 she acted in the movie ‘118‘ which is an action thriller opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
She later was seen in Brochevarevarura. She was seen in an action thriller ‘V’ opposite Nani for the third time. The movie also stars Sudheer Babu and Aditi Rao Hydari.
