Nikita Dutta is born on 13 November 1990. She is an Indian television actress and was one of the finalists of Femina Miss India in the year 2012. She made her debut in Bollywood film ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’. She made her television debut with the show Dream Girl. Her parents are Anand Dutta and Alka Dutta. She was born in Delhi. She has a sister named Ankita Dutta. She spent most of her life in Vizag, Mumbai and Kochi. She went to school in Mumbai. She studied Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
Dutta participated in Femina Miss India and was one of the finalists in 2012. Soon, She made her debut in the romantic comedy film ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014). Produced by Saif Ali Khan. The film was a disaster at the box office.
In 2015, she made her television debut with Life OK’s drama series Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si. She acted with Shraddha Arya and Mohsin Khan. She came out of the show in January 2016 because of some unknown reasons.
Dutta returned to Bollywood films with the movie Gold, a sports background film which is directed by Reema Kagti which is based upon the national hockey team’s title at Summer Olympics. Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, and Sunny Kaushal were the co-actors. She played the supporting role of Simran (Kaushal’s girlfriend). Upon release, the film received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success.
Dutta has three upcoming film projects. She is acting in Sandeep Vanga’s film ‘Kabir Singh’ (this is remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, Vijay devarakonda is the Hero), co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, Another project is she will appear in Anand Tiwari’s romance Ticket to Bollywood. Dutta is also featuring in Sharan Sharma’s Kargil Girl. This is a biopic based on the life of an IAF pilot named Gunjan Saxena which is played by Janhvi Kapoor.
