Mrinal Sen Bio: Mrinal sen a legendary and a prominent director of Indian cinema from an early age. Unfortunately on Dec 30th Sunday, we lost our legendary filmmaker. Mrinal died due to age-related illness at his residence in Bhowanipore.
Due to lost of Legendary director the overall film industry has been depressed and shown their deep condolences to the Mrinal sen’s family.
It’s around 10:30, suddenly Mrinal went unconscious and his caretaker informed to doctor. The doctor reportedly informed that he was died due to Cardiac Arrest. Caretaker informed to the social media about his death. He said after his death his body has to be kept in mortuary and has to wait the return of his son from Chicago.

During Mrinal career, his films were appreciated worldwide where he received awards and applauds from all major film industries. Also, his were shown in major cities of the world. He also launched some majors actors like Mithun Chakraborty and Sreela Majumdar in his films.

Mrinal was born on 14th May 1923 in a Hindu family. He left his home for his higher education but his passion for filmmaking made him a successful and legendary filmmaker. As a student, he used to follow and likes Marxist ideas and thoughts.
He used to make friendship with communist party members even though he didn’t allow to be of that party he met many like-minded people where he shared his ideas and also got some knowledge from them.
Then after some years his readings and writings made him show interest in films which made him a director. from there his career started as a filmmaker. where he debuted his first movie Raat Bhore starring Uttam Kumar.
The film was not successful, it was a failure even though Mrinal made his second movie then he got some appreciation locally. After making four to five movies he was known internationally.
He made some classic movies which he got parallel fame with Satyajit Ray. Mrinal is often considered to be one of the greatest ambassadors of Bengali parallel cinema Globally.
He also directed some socio films which highlights the politics. Where he more says about marxism and naxalism. He is also known as a Marxist Artist.

He was awarded the Nehru Soviet Land Award by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics for his contribution to world cinema In 1979.
The Government of India awarded Sen with the Padma Bhushan in 1981.
President Vladimir Putin of the Russian federation honored him with the Order of Friendship in 2000.
He received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor given to an Indian filmmaker, was awarded to him by the Government of India for the year 2003.
He was inducted as a member of the Oscar Academy in 2017.
