Harnaaz Sandhu Biography
Harnaaz was born in a Sikh family in Chandigarh. She developed an interest in Modeling and acting from a young age. She did schooling at Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh. She did her Bachelors in Information Technology from Girls College Chandigarh.

Harnaaz’s mother is a doctor by profession. Harnaaz says that her mother is her inspiration. Her mother Ruby Sandhu told that she was offering prayers in gurudwaras for her success. After winning the title of Miss Universe, Ruby Sandhu was so happy that she became speechless. She also said that she will make Makki ki roti, Sarson da saag for Harnaaz. Harnaaz’s mother Ruby Sandhu also said that Harnaaz was the only sister for 17 brothers in their extended family
Currently, she is 21 years of age. She was crowned Miss Universe 2021. India received this title after 21 years.
Earlier Sushmita Sen won the title in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
In the final round, Harnaaz was asked, “What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?”
Harnaaz answered with confidence that, “The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing, is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that is why I am standing here today.”
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is a fitness freak. She also does yoga regularly. She loves horse riding and cooking as well.
