Aditi Rao Hydari is a popular Indian Film actress who predominantly works with Hindi and Tamil language films. In 2007, she made her on-screen debut through the Indian Tamil period-drama film “Sringaram” in which Aditi had played the role of a Devadasi and her performance in the film earned positive reviews from critics.
She came into the limelight after she acted in Sudhir Mishra’s romantic thriller film “Yeh Saali Zindagi” in the year 2011. Her role in the film won the “Screen Award” in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Aditi Rao Hydari was born on 28 October 1986 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She was born into an illustrious family in Hyderabad to Ehsaan Hydari who is a Muslim and his wife, Vidya Rao is from Hindu family. Her mother is an acclaimed classical singer popular for thumri and dadra genres of music.
She belongs to two royal lineages. She is the great-granddaughter of Akbar Hydari, is a former Prime Minister of Hyderabad and also the grandniece of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, who is the former Governor of Assam.
Aditi’s maternal grandparents are Raja J Rameshwar Rao, who headed the administration of Wanaparthi state during its day, and Shanta Rameshwar Rao, a much-respected educationalist in the city of Hyderabad.
He is also the chairperson of the publishing house Orient Blackswan. Filmmaker Kiran Rao, the wife of actor Aamir Khan, is her maternal first cousin. She had spent her childhood in both Hyderabad and Delhi.
She completed her schooling from Rishi Valley School in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. She had attended the University of Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College and obtained her graduation.
She began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of six and became a disciple of very well-known dancer Leela Samson. She made her on-screen debut in the Indian Tamil period-drama film “Sringaram”.
Aditi had played the role of a Devadasi and her performance in the film earned positive reviews from critics and won many awards including 3 National Film Awards.
When the actress was only 21 years old, it was reported that she married a lawyer and civil servant Satyadeep Mishra, a Bollywood and Television actor.
Later, she had declined to comment on her marital status and mentioned that they were separated. But, the couple is still close and has kept in touch over the years.
In the year 2018, she has appeared as Sameera in the Tollywood film “Sammohanam” alongside Sudheer Babu. In the same year, she was also part of the Tollywood space thriller “Antariksham 9000 KMPH” in which she played the role of Riya alongside Varun Tej Konidela.
