Nargis Fakhri is born on 20 October 1979 in Queens New York City, New York, the U.S. to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri, she has a younger sister Aliya Fakhri.
Her Father is from Pakistan, he is a businessman and her mother is Czech, she is a Former Police Officer. At the age of 6, her parents got divorced and after some years her father died.
She belongs to mixed Pakistani-Czech ethnicity and also American Nationality. Nargis completed her college in Queens College, City University of New York. She completed her graduation in B.A a Major in Fine Arts and a Minor in Psychology.
Nargis began her dating with an actor Uday Chopra in 2014, but they broke up in 2017. In 2018 May, she confirmed and announced her relationship with a filmmaker, Matt Alonzo.
Career
Nargis appeared in a popular Indian Print Campaign for the 2009 Kingfisher Calendar. Her appearance attracted the attention of Indian Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. He got selected for a role in the Bollywood movie “Rockstar” as female lead role Heer Kaul with co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.
This movie story follows the journey of an aspiring Musician. This is the first movie to show a Kashmiri Pandit Wedding. The movie collected 1.7 Billion at the box office. Rockstar was one of the Top Grossing films of the year. Nargis is nominated for Best Female Debut in Film Fare.
In 2013, she did her second Movie Madras Café (Political Thriller) as a role of Jaya Sahni with co-starring John Abraham and Directed by Shoojit Sicar. This movie story is based on a drama at the time of Indian Intervention in SriLankan Civil War.
